Oslo, Norway (January 25 2021): After starting as a business development manager with Software Innovation more than 15 years ago, Proenco Managing Director, Trond Halvorsen has announced his departure from the business, effective Jan. 31, 2021.
During this time, Trond has helped steward the Proarc EDMS software solution through various ownership changes, most notably following its acquisition by Vela Software in February 2018. As Managing Director, he established the new company Proenco AS.
Halvorsen galvanized the company’s vision on delivering top quality software solutions that improve information management on capital engineering and construction projects helping to improve project execution. He has been instrumental in focussing the development movement from classical desktop, on-premise server solutions to a cloud-native application hosted on Azure. This application has been successfully adopted by dozens of customers during the last 12 months.
“Trond has been an integral part of Proenco’s growth as a company and the Proarc product’s success around the world, and he should be proud of all he has accomplished here,” stated Gabe Czegledy, CEO Portfolio Manager with Vela Software International Inc.
During Q4 of 2020, Mr. Matthew J. McKinley, CEO of Coreworx (Proenco’s North American sister company), engaged with Halvorsen in a transition process. Matt McKinley will take the helm of both businesses with a new global mandate.
Halvorsen stated, “It’s been an honour to lead the Proenco team, working with our loyal customers for so many years, where we’ve all gained much experience together. This change that we are making is actually rooted in the past, as the heritage of Proarc and Coreworx originating from the same company means that there is significant technology sharing, which offers great opportunity for our customers.”
McKinley added, “Trond has led Proarc in many roles with integrity and conviction. I feel fortunate to have worked by his side since meeting at the start of 2018. I thank him and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
